No - I'm not Nationally Accredited. You are not yet eligible for the Elder Mediation Specialisation. You must also be an accredited Mediator.

Do you hold an Elder Mediation International Network EMIN Certificate at either Cert.EM or CERT.EM (Advanced) level?

Yes - Continue. You will need to provide a copy of your certificate.  

No - You are not eligible for Elder Mediation Accreditation. Please contact EMIN for details of the Certification Process. Certification Overview - Elder Mediation International Network

Are you a Member of EMAN and EMIN? 

Yes - upload your certificates 

No - you must join as a condition of the Elder Mediation Specialisation. 

Does your Professional Indemnity Insurance cover Elder Mediation? 

Yes - you must provide a copy of your Certificate of Currency or letter from your insurer. 

Not sure - check with your insurer and provide confirmation.  

 

   


The National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS) was phased out and fully replaced by the Australian Mediator and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) on the 1st July 2025.

Mediation Institute is a Recognised Accreditation Provider (RAP) under AMDRAS and this form is to allow you to apply for the specialisation Elder Mediation.

By submitting this application for the Elder Mediation Specialisation, you authorise Mediation Institute to seek information from any party noted on your application and/or supporting documents or an authorised representative of the AMDRAS Board (if relevant).

If your application is complete and meets the requirements, we will finalise the processing and issue your updated Membership Certificate and the Elder Mediator Specialisation Logo.
