The Mediation Institute is offering a comprehensive Family Group Conference (FGC) Facilitator Training course designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to facilitate FGCs effectively. This training is particularly beneficial for professionals in child protection, family conflict resolution, disability support, aged care, or any context where family-led decision-making is essential.
Course Structure:
- Online Learning: Participants will engage in self-paced online modules covering the theoretical aspects of FGC.
- Interactive Workshops: The course includes three live online workshop sessions, each lasting approximately three hours. These sessions are designed to provide practical experience and include simulations to reinforce learning.

- Experienced Trainer: Eve Clare, an accredited mediator, Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, and seasoned FGC facilitator, leads the program. Eve has over 15 years of experience working with families and children, including significant work with Aboriginal communities. Her expertise ensures participants receive high-quality, practical training.
- Recognised Certification: Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Mediation Institute. The NSW Department of Justice acknowledges this certification, making it a valuable credential for those seeking Family Group Conference Contractor Panel positions. Please note that panel applicants should also have experience working with complex families in child protection or similar roles.
