Supervision & Mentoring Support

Supervision is an essential part of professional growth and maintaining high standards as a mediator.

At Mediation Institute, we provide pathways for both experienced practitioners who want to supervise and new or developing mediators who need supervision.

Become a Supervisor

Are you an experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), AMDRAS Mediator or Family Group Conference Facilitator?
We are building a Supervision & Support Panel of qualified professionals who can:

  • Support FDR interns completing their 50-hour placement - including or external to Mediation Institute arrangements for our students.
  • Provide ongoing supervision for newly qualified Mediators, FDRPs and FGC facilitators.
  • Offer professional support after complaints or as part of continuous development.

Requirements:

  • Experience and ideally training as a supervisor
  • Current students of our Supervision Training are welcome to apply

Supervisors can volunteer their time or charge fees for their services.

Get Supervision

If you are:

  • Due to completing your FDR work placement
  • A newly registered FDRP, AMDRAS Mediator or FGC Facilitator looking for mentoring and support
  • A qualified practitioner seeking professional supervision after a complaint or for practice growth

… you can connect with our panel of experienced supervisors.

Supervision helps you:

  • Gain confidence in real-world cases
  • Reflect on your practice with guidance
  • Meet professional obligations for ongoing development
